Arriving in Okap

You will be met at Cap-Haïtien International Airport.  Transfer to one of our most prestigious hotel in the city.  Check in and get ready for a week fill with culture, history, adventure, and fun.

#1- Liberty Tour: Bois Caïman, Vertières, Breda

Learn the history of the original inhabitants of Hayti* as we head to the monumental center of the Haitian revolution where it all started, Bois Caïman.  Follow the path of the ancestors to Vertières, and view the Breda Plantation the birth place of the great liberator, Toussaint Louverture.

#2- Majestic Tour: Citadelle Henry & Palais Sans Souci

The day begins with an early and much needed breakfast. Refueled and ready, we embark on a day of adventure at the National History Park to visit Palais Sans Souci and Citadelle Henry: hiking, horseback riding, and more. With adrenaline pumping, we take a journey through history, as we view the largest artillery collection assembled in the Caribbean.

#3- Cap-Haïtien City Tour

Discover the city of Okap aka Cap-Haïtien as we stroll through Place d’Armes. Located just in front of the city’s Cathedral, this public square hosted many military executions during the 18th century. Discover various homes and locale of famous Haitians and liberators who sought refuge in Cap-Haïtien.

May 18th Flag Day Parade in Partnership with Okap Flavors

Pick up your costume and participate in one of the biggest festivities in our nation's history, May 18th OKAP Flag Day Parade in the streets of the historical and touristic capital of Haïti.

Okap Flavors

​It's a beach day with tastings of local products of all kinds, local cuisine with dozens of traditional Haitian recipes to discover, a gastronomic and craft fair to buy souvenirs, artifacts, artworks, etc. It's an opportunity to discover the entrepreneurs of the northern region of Haiti and their

products and services .

Until We Meet Again

Now that our adventures in Okap has come to an end, transfer to the Cap-Haïtien International Airport, and have a safe flight back home. Au Revoir!

WELCOME PARTY/CREOLE NIGHT

This night is set to be the opening ceremony of the entire event. Participants from across the globe join sponsors and partners for an epic welcome party featuring local and national artists and DJs. The evening is dedicated to Creole food, especially Fritay, the drink of the evening is local rum and the music is Twoubadour and Roots.

FANTA DAY

It's a family event, held in a playground. A special time to try out traditional Haitian games as well as more modern ones, all to the accompaniment of good music, popcorn and unlimited Fanta.

LADIES NIGHT/BOUYON NIGHT

An event where everyone pays tribute to the countless women who have left their mark in Haitian history. The bouillon remains the main dish of the evening, as much for its revitalizing nature as for its explosion of flavors. For this very special evening, some of Haiti's finest female voices will be singing to celebrate Haitian women in all their magnificence.

ROOTS/RABODAY/AFRO NIGHT

An event that takes guests back to their roots, back to Haitian folklore, with a special connection to Africa and the great Rabòday trend. The ultimate experience of the many diversities of contemporary Haitian music and culture.
